At Tsara Tea, we are more than a tea brand—we are a family that has dedicated nearly a century to preserving the authentic soul of Ceylon’s finest organic tea.

Our journey began in 1935, when our grandfather established the Galaboda Tea Factory in the misty hills of southern Sri Lanka. With a vision to craft pure, high-quality tea using ethical, sustainable practices, he laid the foundation for what would become a multi-generational family legacy. The Galaboda Estate became known not just for its exceptional tea, but for its unwavering commitment to the land and community that nurtures it.

For three generations, our family has lived and breathed tea—from plucking the first leaves at sunrise to refining the final cup that reaches tea lovers around the world. Each generation has carried forward the deep respect for traditional organic farming methods, while embracing modern techniques to improve quality, efficiency, and environmental responsibility.

Today, the younger generation continues the legacy with the same passion and pride. We’ve expanded our horizons by collaborating with Chinese tea masters to bring global expertise in machinery, processing, and flavor development—while staying true to the essence of Sri Lankan tea culture.
